I will be leaving for leadership this Sunday in 8 days. For people who have been to leadership, what was your experience?

Personally, I feel a week's training can hardly bring dramatic changes to a person. The purpose of LA is rather to let you see the higher standards. Whether to maintain such standards after graduation is very much up to you. Those who do so consistently after LA and influence their fellow cadets are the ones that truly make the most out of LA. Another purpose of LA is for you to see the different ways of doing things, such as motivating others. So basically, you are there to learn.

Yea, i have heard from past cadets who have gone tell me that there is actually some book work and a lot of learning how to influence fellow cadets in being the next leaders. It would have been nice to go last year but our unit took two people who we didn't want to drop the program.. even though they didn't drop they still didn't do anything with the program.
