Yet another primary example of the complete and utter lack of "rational thought" that is the modern Liberal!

Justice nominee: Pregnancy 'involuntary servitude' (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93520)
Members of Congress want Obama to withdraw Johnsen's name

Dozens of members of Congress have signed a letter to President Obama asking him to rescind his nomination of Dawn Johnsen to the Justice Department's Office of Legal Council.

They cite her radical pro-abortion views, including her description of pregnancy as slavery.

"She's compared pregnancy to slavery and described it as involuntary servitude," Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, says. "She's compared women to no more than a fetal container."

He was interviewed by Greg Corombos of Radio America. The audio of the question-and-answer session is embedded here:

King said Johnsen also has described pro-life activists as terrorists.

The letter he and more than five dozen other members of Congress have signed and sent to Obama asks the president to withdraw the nomination.

In Obama's short tenure in office, he's already reversed the long-standing Mexico City Policy so that U.S. taxpayer dollars now can be used for abortion overseas.

He's also worked on a plan to rescind the right of doctors and physicians to not provide abortion services if it conflicts with their own religious beliefs. In addition, he has promised to work on a plan to overturn all abortion restrictions nationwide.

King noted when Obama rescinded the Mexico City Policy Jan. 23, he stated, "No matter what our views, we are united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, reduce the need for abortion and support women and families in the choices they make. To accomplish these goals, we must work to find common ground."

"If President Obama is in any way serious about finding common ground on abortion, he should immediately withdraw his nomination of Dawn Johnsen to head the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel," King said.

He cited her arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court that, "The woman is constantly aware for nine months that her body is not wholly her own: the state has conscripted her body for its own ends. Thus, abortion restrictions, 'reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers.'"

So let me see if I can get my hear wrapped around this insanity. A woman VOLUNTARILY drops on her back, voluntarily throws her legs in the air, and voluntarily "gets jiggy with it", knowing full well that HER voluntary failure to use contraception (or insist that her partner use it) can very well result in her voluntarily becoming pregnant, has somehow been morphed into "the state" conscripting her body for it's own ends????

Is this bi**h;

drunk,
stoned,
stupid, or
ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I'm going to have to go with 4.

The fact that she actually made that argument before SCOTUS, and wasn't immediately DISBARRED and involuntarily committed to a mental facility gives me serious pause.

Pregnancy as an involuntary servitude. Does this woman have kids? Tax evasion is one thing, one very bad thing, but reducing the creation of a child and the process of such down to slavery, that's just insanity. I'm with Shooter on this, lock this psycho up!

Pro-life activists are terrorists? Round my parts we call them Christian, something Obama claims to be. Let's just say this floozy needs to shove the "fetal container" dispenser in her pie hole and shut up.

And all these years, you've ignored the warnings that 'free radicals' are dangerous to your health. See what happens when you put one in the big white house on Pennsyltucky Avenue?

I don't have (or want) kids, and have never been pregnant, so I don't have any personal experience in this area.

But I do know that pregnancy is usually the result of a voluntary act. Slavery is not usually a voluntary role. There's no logical way to compare the two. Johnsen's a shrieking feminazi who needs to shut up and find her way to the nearest mental institution.

I sound hostile because I despise today's feminism. American women have plenty of choices. We receive equal, or even special, treatment. We don't have much to be upset about, because most of our "problems" are self inflicted at this point. If I choose to have sex, I could get pregnant. If I choose to wear trashy clothes, some men could treat me like trash. If I choose to call in sick to school for three class meetings straight because I don't want to pop a few Midol and drive on, I could earn crappy grades. Actions have consequences, but it seems like Johnsen and her ilk don't want to acknowledge, or deal with, those consequences.

Those are merely my observations, though. I'm young, and haven't seen it all, so I could be completely off base.

I was going to stay out of this but seriously...

Pregnancy is slavery?

Pro-life activists are terrorists?

So, I now take back my statements that liberals might have been able of rational thought.

This... person... needs the men in white called on her, seriously.
