Does anybody have any good information on a reliable web site to purchase parts for a Ruger 10/22 from? I have browsed the web quite a bit but I would just like to know what sites people have experience dealing with.

Soccermark,
Try (Midway USA). Great company, have it all, but don't look for any deals in this day and age..

If you're looking for internals, I've dealt with Brownells.com before, and they've got a huge selection of 10/22 internals. If you're looking for aftermarket bells and whistles, try Cabelas.com. I've bought probably thousands of dollars of clothing and gear from Cabelas, and they definetly have all their stuff in one sock.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have 3 main things I want to get: a tactical stock, an extended magazine release, and an optic.
So far I know Cabela's has the magazine release and me and my buddies are actually going to the one in Maine next weekend, so I'll pick that up then. Now I just have to find a stock I like and an optic. I had bought a BSA 30mm Red Dot Sight but the elevation adjustment on it was broken so I had to return it.

I have a Butler Creek folding stock on my Mini-14, and it's been pretty good to me; however, I've heard really good things about these stocks from Tapco, and am considering switching over. They're also made for the 10/22 as well, so you might want to take a look.

As for optics, I'd recommend a Holo over a red dot. They just seem to work better for me. I use one by Bushnell, but EOTech makes outstanding ones too. Just be ready to pay for it...they ain't cheap!!
Hope this helps, and you find what you're looking for.

That TAPCO is actually one of the ones I was considering, along with this one:

I was thinking more along the lines of a Holo sight as well, I'm just hoping to find something I like and not bust open my bank account.

Here's what I went with so far. It's a Tapco Fusion Stock with a Tapco Fusion Vertical Grip and a Christie Flash Hider. I'm still waiting on the scope I ordered to come in. Once I get it installed I'll post a picture of the whole package.

Nice! I always love gun-porn! Looks like you installed the downward-angled stock for optics. Did it also come with the level stock? What did you order for optics....holo or scope? Let me know how that system works for you...I'm beginning to get the itch to get one for my Mini........

I picked up a NCSTAR 3-9X40 Scope that should be here around Wednesday of next week.
The system did come with both the angled and level stock, and it is pretty easy to switch between the two. I personally liked the feel of the angled one better, so I stuck with that.

After you install your scope, make sure you keep the stock on there that gives you the best cheek-weld and eye relief for your scope...what "feels good" now might not feel the same with the optics on there.
Nice choice of optics...I too would have chosen a scope over holo for a 10/22. A holo is more of a "tactical" option, where you'll probably be using your rifle for small varmits and killing paper.
Looks like you've got yourself a nice setup there, Bro.

Suh-weet! Nice rig. You sighted-in that scope yet? How's the cheek weld with the angled stock?

The cheek weld is actually pretty good with the angled stock. I actually got the scope in last week but the rings that came with it were too low and the front of the scope hit the front tactical rail. So I had to go pick up a pair that sit a bit higher. I just finished putting the scope on today and hopefully this weekend myself and one of my friends, who just picked up a laser bore-sight, will be able to go out and sight in all of our guns.

What brand of .22 ammo are you using with your Ruger? Any ejection issues?

I use the Federal High Velocity .22 LR ammo, which is the same I use in my Walther P-22 and I haven't had any problems. It shoots very smooth and the ammo is cheap too which is always nice.

My 10/22 has never had an issue feeding anything, 'course it was new back '81 when they only cost $63, so it might have loosened up a little.:D
