He just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day, 5, 10 minutes late. But he was a good worker, real sharp, so the Boss was in a quandary about what to do about it. Finally, one day he called him into the office for a talk.

"Bill, I have to tell you, I like your work ethics, but your being late often is bothersome.'

"Yes, I know Boss, and I`m working on it."

"Well good. That`s what I like to hear. It`s odd though, your coming in late. I know you`re retired from the Navy. What did they say if you came in late there?"

"They said, "Good morning, Chief.":navy:

"Ask the Chief!"

The Chief is the Voice of GOD. And I should know, Dad retired as a Master Chief, and Mom retired as a Chief.

But I'll lay even odds that the Master Chief snapped to when the Chief spoke :D

So, let me ask, do you call them "Mom and Dad" or "Chief and Master Chief?"

(Just asking, sometimes I'll call my Dad sergeant to bust his balls. ;))

Billy...he still does, even after ten years retirement!

Ivan, when we were both in, if we met in uniform, I showed every military courtesy, right up until he ordered me to "Knock that sh*t off, boy!" at which point I reverted to the standard Dad.
