Does anyone know how long the post function stays active before timing out? I find it frustrating to type in a reply only to lose it when the function times out and dumps the work product. Can the site be programmed to allow a longer period?

Wu,

As a way around that, I know that some members will compose thier responses utilizing thier preferred word processor and then copy and paste thier response. While it does involve an extra step or three, it does help prevent the loss of posts.

Another option is to check the Remember Me box to stop it from timing out.

Mr. Bill, I thought I was the only one who did that! ;) I can't tell ya how many times I lost my work, maybe that was a good thing? :lookaround: I've also gotten in a habit of copying my work before I hit submit, just in case, even if I don't use another word program. That way I can go back and put it right back in where it belongs. Whatever works I guess.
