Hello again fellow members. I got the e-mail and came on over to register and get all my stuff in 1 sock as the saying goes. I1ll give a quick data sheet since most on here probably don`t know anything about me from the older version forum.

I am currently 37 years old, married, to the same woman for what will be 20 years in January 2009. I have 2 daughters, one is 18 and just graduated high school, the other just turned 16 today and is a Sophomore this year.

I am currently serving proudly in the Army National Guard in Alabama, and come October, will have done so for 14 years. My nickname is my actual MOS and currently is the only one I hold, I am a 63 B20, Sgt-E5 promotable with all 4 phases of BNCOC completed. I am eagerly awaiting the new EPPS list for E-5 to E-6 to come out hopefully later this month...I should be fairly good on points thanks to attending college for the last year and a half. Maybe I will get promoted this year, but if not I will continue to drive on.

My civilian job is tricky, but I am sure some here will know what I am talking about. I am what is considered a Dual Status soldier...I work for the Department of Defense as a civilian military technician, I am paid on the Wage Grade scale. In order to have my job, I must maintain a favorable status in the National Guard at all times, to lose the NG status means I lose my Federal job!

As a technician, I am employed at a CSMS (Combined Support and Maintenance Shop) in the FMS (Field Maintenance Shop) section as a Surface Maintenance Mechanic. Since the Army has went to the 2 Tier Maintenance scheme, all FMS shops are required to perform Direct Support, so I get repair all manner of faults on any and all equipment that we support in the units. 2 wheel trailers all the way to HEMMT`s, MTV series and and of course HMMWV`s.

I have yet to deploy for OIF or OEF...no exact reason as to why as I have been A1A on all fronts since 2001. But, that is expected to chage if nothing changes in the next year as my unit is scheduled to head either back to Iraq or to our first trip to Afghanistan, and I will for damn sure go this time or I am liable to have a "conniption fit" right there in formation!

Any thing I missed, feel free to ask me...:salute:
