My AFJROTC Air Riffle team is #2 in the nation only topped by folks from Utah for AFJROTC. We are #5 in Region Against all other branches.

Just thought I'd throw that one out there.

Remove the unit designation via the "edit" tool. Including your unit's designation in a post/signature/profile directly violates the CPP, which is located here (http://www.gruntsmilitary.com/board/showthread.php?t=420). Instead just simply say "my unit" or other non-specific vernacular.

Otherwise, that's pretty cool, considering not many AFJROTC units have rifle teams. Are you a member of this team?

Is the marksmanship directly part of your AFJROTC, or is it sponsered by your AFJROTC unit?

Wow, can't say anyone we've ever shot against is that good, except one. They were the junior olympic champs.

So how long have you had the team and how did it get started up? i've been trying for a while to start a team.

Actually it's my school's team, and we've had it since around 2001.

Getting one started is fairly easy. An instructor has to be qualified to secure and maintain weapons, get approval from HQ to have the team, get approval from the school to have the team, and finally buy weapons, spotting devices, a range, etc. It's really a question of money...

Haha, we have an air rifle team also but I talked to my NSI who is in charge and he said that they flat out suck. :D

If they suck, then they should be helping them get better.
